Professional experience

Cheryl Takabayashi was born and raised in Hawaii. From an early age, she has shown a passion for helping others, and, to this day, values trust, integrity, respect, compassion, sincerity, and commitment above all else. 

After graduating from Punahou, Cheryl spent time in Washington and California to attend college and law school. Local roots brought her home to Hawaii to practice law, and eventually establish her own practice.

In addition to her legal practice, Cheryl Takabayashi also believes in a rich and rewarding work-life balance.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two stepchildren, reading, creative writing, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is also involved with the Children’s Ministry, and the Hula/Sign Dance Ministry at her church.
